May 10, 2011

Art Moyses called the meeting to order at 6:30pm at the LeRoy Township Hall.

Board Present – Art Moyses, Heather Marks, Stacie Dvonch, and Dale Peterson.  Anja Wing was absent.

Guests – Rex Houseman, Alberta Houseman, Chuck Gugle, Pam Hall, Tammy Stoner, Jodi Benkert, Kim Kissinger, Trevor Flint, Brent Sible, Mike Houseman and Cliff Youngs

Art did not bring the financial sheets for the Budget Meeting so we will go over and the next meeting, we will be discussing with Cliff the roads at this time though.

Cliff described to the board what roads in our area is a priority and went over exactly what the quotes stated that he had previously sent to us.  He also explained what the cost and benefits of doing certain roads would be to us.

Dale asked about LeRoy Rd. and the spots that are not done yet and how much it would cost to finish it all.  Cliff said he would go out after the meeting and measure exactly how much is left to be done.

Cliff explained how the detours would work during the work being done on Mackinaw Trail, basically the detour will go down 131 and the locals will be able to use 200th and 14 Mile roads.  Mackinaw Trail will most likely not be done until after Razzasque Days.

Cliff state that the County will be doing a lot of the work on the 220th bridge the State allows them to do up to $100,000 worth of the work.

The County will be doing some Brining this year but it will be slow work and only on the most traveled gravel roads.  Brining cost about $400 per mile and that includes labor and truck.  Blading cost about $80.0 and hour and includes truck and labor.

Cliff explained that our bill will not be due until October for paving but any gravel work needing to be done will have to be paid right away.

Rex asked about roads and paving of White Pine Trail.

Cliff needs to know our decision on the roads ASAP so we can still get the match from the County.

Heather asked about detours and the condition of the roads.  Cliff stated that the County will take care of the roads being fixed if they are tore up by traffic from the detour.  The cost will be covered by the County.  The only reason the County would come back to us is if there are Major Structural Issues and then we may have to pay some.

Stacie asked about asphalt, Cliff stated the cost is not increasing that much per year at this point.

Heather asked about matching funds and Cliff said we are ok at this point as long as we make a decision soon.

The 220th Bridge has a start date of late July or early August.

Discussion was closed at 7:10pm

Motion made by Art to adjourn at 6:10, supported by Dale.  All ayes motion carried.
